Modal Analysis of Chushandian Gravity Dam

This article uses the finite element software ABAQUS to establish a three-dimensional model based on overflow dam section 12 # ~15 and surface outlet of Chushandian gravity dam. The stress displacement distribution under normal water storage level are analyzed; On this basis, modal analysis is conducted study impact dam's own conditions operation research shows that: (1) Under condition height level, there small tensile at heel, compressive toe within range. There significant intersection upper curved part transverse joint. body strength meets requirements can be considered safe for reservoir. (2) Modal reveals that deformation occur right side crest during lower frequency vibrations. With increasing frequency, easily deformed parts still top dam, increasing. position moving along Dam axis, direction will change regularly.
